Who You are Connected to Matters!

This past weekend we hosted our annual Family Expo for the community in Glynn County! We had an amazing time and it was nice to make an impact on some brilliant new faces.

As I was serving at the concession stand, I had to take a moment and absorb everyone coming in and enjoying the festivities. It reminds me all the time that what we do matters and who we do it with is just as equally important!

This organization was founded by our President/CEO, Hashondra Jernigan who made it her business to create a safe environment for women to Relax, Release, and Recieve! For the longest I didn’t have that privilege but I have been blessed to have a “getaway” monthly to get rejuvenated and network with women in private meetings. It’s been a blessing seeing all of us grow as much as we have….and we are STILL growing!

We all went from having dreams and aspirations to becoming CEOs, working dream jobs, and some founders of their own non-profits. We have had both sorrows and celebrations together! We have seen each other at our breaking points and peaks of life! And the journey is still going!

I know I’m rambling, but my point is, a lot of us equate our success to our connections within the group. We each possess expertise in areas that we all utilize. I pride myself of being connected to like-minded people. We exude positivity and keep each other accountable even when we ourselves may not be at our best.

Who you are connected to DOES make an impact on where you are and who you will become moving forward. Be sure that your tribe is one of goals and not drama, success and not dwelling on failures, full of faith and not doubting Debbie’s!

Assess your connections and if they are not bringing value to you then it’s time to make some much needed changes. Your in 2024 and only growing wiser. Don’t allow yourself to be limited. Connect with like minded individuals IF your current ones aren’t upgrading!

Just like we all came up and upgraded as a unit, that’s definitely possible so nobody is saying just jump ship lol. If everyone is striving then go ahead and keep on doing so! Trust if it’s good you will not be where you are this time next year! All of you will have succeeded in something!

But if it’s the opposite and your the one excelling and the ones around you aren’t supportive or even trying to do better….RUN!
